Somewhere down the road you start to realise that your team isn’t really working at the level you require. You hand work over to a paraplanner or administrator and they have a stab at the job, but often they come back to you with a query, or for you to check their work. You’re busy with your other key roles in the business, so the work starts getting stuck at your desk.

As the jobs pile up the pressure and the frustration start to pile onto you. You begin to feel like you work for your staff. They seem to go home at 5 o’clock while you work late getting your jobs done that they’ve given you. They start telling you the things that need to be done and when you try to raise the issue of them not doing their work correctly, they blame you and say all the jobs are stuck on your desk; and so we go around in circles, staying stuck and frustrated.
